Welcome to thetackleexchange.net. This site was developed to provided a centralized location on the internet for all things related to fishing, but specifically to provide a marketplace for custom lure makers and individuals wanting to sell fishing tackle. When I started tournament fishing in 2010 I was a complete novice. I had fished from the banks of local ponds with a Zebco 33 as a kid, but I was 42 years old when I rediscovered my passion for fishing. Like most things I do, I jumped in with both feet. Fast forward to 2015 and I’m fishing tournaments every chance I get (nearly every weekend), and I could probably open a small tackle shop out of my garage!!! When I’m not fishing (or working) I’m shopping around on the internet for unique lures and information about fishing. One day it occurred to me that I had roughly 3 pages of icons on my cell phone just for different custom lure makers. If I wasn’t jumping from site to site looking at different jigs or crankbaits, I was on eBay seeing what was out there. So, I thought it would be a good thing to try to make all of these products available in the same place – if not physically, at least on the internet. And that’s how this site came to be…inspired by eBay, but not eBay; variety of a big box store; but not a big box store; the uniqueness of a custom lure site, but all available in one place. I also wanted to create a great message board for the exchange of ideas and information, as well as a place where local clubs could create their own “rooms” to communicate with members without the cost of maintaining a website.

Please take some time to explore the site and see what we have to offer. I want to create the “perfect” fishing site. It isn’t perfect yet!!! But, it’s a start. I welcome your feedback and suggestions to get it there. Check back often as I anticipate adding new sellers often. If you know of someone not selling here, let them know about the site or tell us and we will contact them. The message boards are intentionally broad categories at this point, but will add or subtract categories based on user feedback. Other features will be added in the future as well.

Thanks for stopping by to check out the site.
